Atmosphere Function

Atmosphere Function
In the intro above, detikers can imagine a little about the function of the atmosphere. In the Learning Resources of the Ministry of Education and Culture, it is known that the atmosphere has a function to regulate the process of receiving heat from the sun. How to?

By absorbing and then reflecting the heat generated by the sun. The existence of the atmosphere makes the sun's heat not fully enter the Earth. Only 34 percent of it is reflected back into the sky.

The rest goes to Earth. as much as 19 percent is absorbed by clouds and 47 percent reaches the ground surface. This means that only about half of the sun's heat is felt by humans on Earth.

In addition to regulating the reception of sunlight, the atmosphere also has several other functions. That is:

1. Keeping the Earth's temperature stable, so that the weather and humidity on Earth are also under control.

2. Balancing conditions inside and outside the Earth.

3. Reducing the heat that is exposed to sunlight.

4. Protect the Earth from the entry of foreign celestial bodies such as meteors.

5. Keeping the Earth's gravity or attraction stable.

By carrying out these functions, the atmosphere provides many benefits for the Earth, namely:

1. Protecting the Earth with the ozone layer from ultraviolet radiation which is harmful to living things.
2. Protects the Earth from outer space objects that are attracted or fall due to Earth's gravity.

3. As a weather medium to regulate rain, wind, snow, clouds, and storms.

4. Contains various gases such as oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide which are necessary for the life of humans, animals and plants on Earth.

Fungsi Atmosfer
