In computer science, a stateless protocol is a communication protocol that treats each request as an independent transaction unrelated to previous requests so that the communication consists of independent pairs of requests and responses. Stateless protocols do not require the server to store session or state information about each communication partner over multiple requests. In contrast, a protocol that requires maintaining internal state on the server is known as a stateful protocol.
 *Examples* of stateless protocols include the Internet Protocol (IP), which is the basis for the Internet, and the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).

Dalam ilmu komputer, protokol tanpa kewarganegaraan adalah protokol komunikasi yang memperlakukan setiap permintaan sebagai transaksi independen yang tidak terkait dengan permintaan sebelumnya sehingga komunikasi terdiri dari pasangan permintaan dan tanggapan yang independen. Protokol stateless tidak memerlukan server untuk menyimpan sesi atau menyatakan informasi tentang setiap mitra komunikasi melalui beberapa permintaan.
