The Solar System

The Solar System is a collection of celestial bodies consisting of a star called the Sun and all objects that are bound by its gravitational force. These objects include eight known planets with elliptical orbits, five dwarf planets/dwarfs, 173 identified natural satellites, and millions of other celestial bodies (meteors, asteroids, comets).

The Solar System is divided into

Sun,
the four inner planets,
asteroid belt,
the four outer planets, and
at the outermost part is the Kuiper Belt and scattered disks.

Tata Surya merupakan kumpulan benda langit yang terdiri atas sebuah bintang yang disebut Matahari dan semua objek yang terikat oleh gaya gravitasinya. Objek-objek tersebut termasuk delapan buah planet yang sudah diketahui dengan orbit berbentuk elips, lima planet kerdil/katai, 173 satelit alami yang telah diidentifikasi, dan jutaan benda langit (meteor, asteroid, komet) lainnya.

Tata Surya terbagi menjadi

Matahari,
empat planet bagian dalam,
sabuk asteroid,
empat planet bagian luar, dan
di bagian terluar adalah Sabuk Kuiper dan piringan tersebar.
