Meteor

Definition of meteors, meteoroids, and meteorites. Meteoroids are small rocks that move around the Sun. These meteoroids are usually remnant fragments of an asteroid, comet, or planet. Meteors are meteoroids that enter the Earth's atmosphere and burn due to friction with the air in the atmosphere. However, meteors do not always reach the Earth's surface. Usually meteors will burn up before touching the Earth's surface. However, if the meteor manages to touch the surface of the Earth, it is called a meteorite. This is the third understanding that will help us to understand how the process of meteors can enter Earth.

Pengertian meteor, meteoroid, dan meteorit. Meteoroid adalah batuan berukuran kecil yang bergerak mengelilingi Matahari. Meteoroid ini biasanya merupakan fragmen sisa dari asteroid, komet, atau planet. Meteor adalah meteoroid yang masuk ke dalam atmosfer Bumi dan terbakar karena gesekan dengan udara yang ada di atmosfer. Namun, meteor tidak selalu mencapai permukaan Bumi. Biasanya meteor akan terbakar habis sebelum menyentuh permukaan Bumi. Namun, jika meteor tersebut berhasil menyentuh permukaan Bumi maka disebut dengan meteorit. Inilah pengertian ketiganya yang akan membantu kita untuk memahami bagaimana proses meteor bisa memasuki Bumi.
